The proposal includes the following: the erection of 16 key worker units, 45 extra
care/assisted living units and 65 units of accommodation for the over 55s.
The key aims of the layout were as follows:
Ensure that the new development integrates into the urban framework, and is
legible and permeable in its own right.
Protect existing features and characteristics such as existing boundary
hedgerows and footpath links, and provide new landscaping to ensure that the
overall design creates a suitably green and attractive layout.
Respect the character and amenity of the existing residential properties.
To provide a design with buildings that have a high quality appearance and that
will embrace or enhance the character of the locality
